Keep your eyes open when buying glasses

Good looks aren’t everything – good vision is much more important. So that we can look deep into the eyes of our loved ones or let our gaze wander into the distance, we need to have our eyes checked regularly. At Augenweide Aachen, there are four true masters at work who look after their customers’ eyeballs as well as their own.

The optician, which can look back on almost 170 years of tradition, enjoys great regional popularity and scores points not only with its careful selection of glasses and optical instruments, but even with its own store for contact lenses and care products. With partners such as Barigo, Eye-tec, Götti, Ray-Ban and Prodesign, Augenweide has very special and unique design models in its range. Good eyesight and good looks come together effortlessly!

Challenge

In 1851, Alex Vennemann founded the first optical company in Aachen. Despite a change of ownership, the store has remained true to its vision: Competent advice, professional control and customization. With the takeover by Andreas Haveneth and Marco Thomas, a few visual changes were also initiated: Modern store premises, a fresh and young design that nevertheless refers to its decades-old roots. The new look should now also be carried to the outside world in terms of advertising.

Solution

Online-Marketing! The modernization of the store premises was followed by a new look for the website on a digital level. In addition to the optician’s impressive history, customers can find out all about Augenweide’s commitment to the city and are always the first to know when new eyewear models have arrived. The website combines simplicity in navigation with a contemporary look – without appearing overloaded. In this way, visitors find their way around intuitively.

Facebook also opens up great opportunities for regional businesses such as Augenweide to stay in touch with regular customers and acquire new customers. Regular posts provide information on the latest model innovations, give an insight into the day-to-day running of the optician’s business or provide exciting facts on the subject of eyes and vision. This not only keeps users up to date, but also provides them with valuable tips on eye care or choosing the right visual aid. In this way, the optician provides its customers with content with real added value and strengthens its position as a professional in the field.
